Recognising that, because of jobs and unavoidable demands elsewhere, that many people these days can find Sundays a challenging regular commitment in recent years we have developed a cell group system. Not only does this allow a diversified form of church but it also enables a level of participation not possible in the larger Sunday morning gathering.

Some 40 people are involved with our cell groups and we have found it hugely beneficial in terms of fellowship, bible study, prayer and in doing practical forms of outreach. Cell is fun! We have also used the cells as a basis for using the excellent Vision4Life materials for the national U.R.C. programme. Cell Values can be expressed in this way and are all about the development of our discipleship:

  • All involved

  • Becoming disciples

  • Creating community

  • Doing Evangelism

  • Encountering God

A “cell” is a group of people who meet in each other’s homes once a week. The meetings operate loosely around a structure of: Welcome-Worship-Word-Witness. Typically we use the previous Sunday’s sermon as a study guide for discussion. It is a very safe and relaxed environment in which faith can be explored openly, honestly and prayerfully.

There are three cell groups who meet at the following times:

  • Monday, 7.30-9.30 pm
  • Tuesday, 7.30-9.30pm
  • Saturday 10.30am -12.00pm

For further information about the cell groups please contact Dougie Burnett on 0117 3309910.
